Children’s Knowledge and Awareness Program
Project Description
The Children’s Knowledge and Awareness Program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at enhancing children’s knowledge, life skills, and awareness on health, education, and social issues.
Implemented with the support of multiple development partners, including TDH, AEI, UNDP, SPDI, DDC, Canadian Cooperation Office, Winrock International, Swiss Corporations, Government of Nepal, WFP, and AEI Laxamber, the program focuses on providing educational and awareness activities for children and teenagers.
It operates in Salyan, Dang, and Dailekh districts, directly reaching 1,446 children, 41 child groups, and 12 teenager groups. With a total budget of NPR 13,558,745, the program emphasizes participatory learning, child rights awareness, health and hygiene education, and social inclusion, aiming to empower children and adolescents to become active and informed members of their communities.
The program duration is from Ashad 2059 to Ashad 2082 (July 2002 – June 2025), ensuring sustained engagement and long-term impact on children’s knowledge, skills, and overall well-being.
