Health Program
Project Description
The Health Program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving community health, nutrition, and awareness across target districts in Nepal.
Implemented with the support of multiple development partners, including UNDP, SPDI, DDC, Canadian Cooperation Office, Swiss Corporate Development, Winrock International, Swiss Corpora, Government of Nepal, DFID, WFP, and AEI Laxamber, the program focuses on enhancing access to health services, maternal and child health, adolescent health, and community awareness on hygiene and nutrition.
The program is active in Salyan, Dang, and Rukum, directly benefiting 1,246 households, 42 women groups, and 22 teenager groups. With a total budget of NPR 15,898,245, the initiative emphasizes participatory planning, capacity building, and community engagement to ensure sustainable improvements in health outcomes.
The implementation period spans from Ashad 2058 to Ashad 2081 (July 2001 – June 2024), making it a long-term effort to strengthen local health systems and empower communities to maintain better health and well-being.
