Capacity Building Training Project
Project Description
The Capacity Building Training Project is a multi-partner initiative designed to strengthen the skills, knowledge, and institutional capacity of communities and local organizations in Nepal.
The project is supported by several key development partners, including USAID, DAI, UNDP, SPDI, TBSU, DDC, DFID, SDC, MSFP, LFP, PAF, WFP, Canadian Cooperation Office, DANIDA, UKAID, Swiss Corporate Development, and Winrock International.
It is implemented across 10 districts: Salyan, Surkhet, Dailekh, Jajarkot, Dang, Rukum, Achham, Doti, Kailali, and Kanchanpur, directly benefiting 1,688 households.
With a budget of NPR 24,568,242, the project focuses on:
Enhancing community-level skills and leadership capacity
Promoting good governance and participatory planning
Building resilience through training on livelihood, natural resource management, and social inclusion
Strengthening local institutions to ensure sustainability
The implementation period extends from Ashad 2058 to Ashad 2082 (July 2001 – June 2025), making it one of the long-term programs focused on developing self-reliant and empowered communi
