Project Description

The Physical Development Construction Program is a large-scale infrastructure initiative aimed at improving physical access, community facilities, and rural infrastructure across multiple districts.

Supported by Government of Nepal, DFID UKAID, LFP, SDC, MSFP, APPSP, DFID, PAF, USAID, DAI, and other partners, the program focuses on drinking water systems, suspension bridges, housing, brick constructions, and road networks to improve livelihoods, connectivity, and access to services.

Implemented in Salyan, Surkhet, Dailekh, Jajarkot, Rukum, and Dang, the program has achieved 466 drinking water systems, 107 suspension bridges, 9 houses, 489 brick constructions, and 642 km of Kashi road, directly benefiting thousands of households. With a total budget of NPR 85,635,696, the project emphasizes quality infrastructure, sustainable development, and community participation.

The project duration spans from 2061 to 2082 (July 2004 – June 2025), ensuring long-term benefits in transportation, water supply, housing, and community infrastructure.
