Small Business Enterprise Development Assistance Program
Project Description
The Small Business Enterprise Development Assistance Program is an initiative aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, supporting small enterprises, and enhancing livelihood opportunities for rural communities.
Supported by UNDP, Canadian Cooperation, Government of Nepal, DFID, and PAF, the program focuses on establishing small business enterprises, forming business groups, and providing capacity-building support to improve economic self-reliance.
Implemented in Salyan District, the program has successfully established 4 small business enterprises, organized 34 groups, and directly benefited 400 households. With a total budget of NPR 59,888,758, the initiative emphasizes skills development, business training, access to resources, and community participation to ensure the sustainability and growth of small businesses.
The project duration spans from 2058 to 2064 (April 2001 – March 2008), aiming to create long-term economic impact and empower local communities through entrepreneurship.
